Common Questions
| How
do I pay for a costume? |
|
We accept
cash, Mastercard, and VISA. Sorry we don't take personal checks.
You should be 18 or older to rent from The Costume Company. There
is a security deposit required for all rentals - we simply take
an impression of your credit card.

How
do I reserve a costume?
|
|
Come by
the store, try on a costume and pay for it by credit card or
cash. Easy huh? It's best if you rent your costume WAY
in advance of your event. Payment must be made in full. Please
note - Once your contract is written and signed it's a done
deal - there's no refund. And, all sales are final.
|
| How
long to I get to keep the costume? |
| Our normal
rental agreement is for one-time, 24-hour use only, or the weekend
if picked up on a Saturday. For holiday rentals we
often extend this time period.
|
| Bringing
the costume back alive and in one piece |
| Customer
shall be liable for the cost of repair or replacement of damaged
costumes (e.g. make-up, excess soil, rips, etc.) or missing costume
parts. Damage or replacement charges are not limited to the security
deposit. The security deposit will be returned when costume is
returned on time and in acceptable condition.
|
| Trying
on for size |
| Do
it! Sometimes we may be busy but even so you should try everything
on for size as we don't guarantee fit unless you do.
|
| Other
(late + additional) fees and legal stuff |
|
If the costume is
returned late - beyond the agreed upon return date - you
will be charged 50% of the original rental fee, for each additional
day the costume is out of the shop. That can get expensive
fast, so please return on time.
Rental fee will
be forfeited if reservation is canceled.

Anyone who does
not return the rented merchandise can and will be prosecuted
under the provisions of Massachusetts General Law. All reasonable
attorney fees and court cost incurred in the enforcement of the
terms of the rental agreement are the responsibility of the renter
signing the rental agreement.
You should also
understand that some costumes may impair vision, mobility and
be hazardous around heat or open flame. You must accept responsibility
for your own personal safety and well being.

| What's
the average cost of a costume rental? |
It
depends, but on average our costumes range from $45 - $95. Remember,
we also have makeup, masks, costumes and fantasy items for sale
all year 'round.
